Directed by Milan Luthria, who has made films like  Kacche Dhaage, Taxi No. 9211, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and The Dirty Picture, Tadap catered to the young audience who gave thumbs up the romance drama which opened in the range of 25% that is better than the opening of Antim and Satyameva Jayate 2. The word of mouth was good so the collection picked up in the evening and night shows to post a good revenue of Rs 4.05 crore. There was a minimal growth on Saturday with Rs 4.12 crore on Saturday.

As per early estimates, Tadap has collected somewhere between Rs 5-5.15 crore on Sunday at the box office which is very good considering new face value, bringing the first weekend collections to Rs 13.32 crore. The budget of romance-drama is Rs 30 Crores (Production cost: 20 Crores Advertising Cost : 10 Crores)

Tadap tells the story of Ishana (Ahan Shetty) who falls in love with a local politician-London-returned daughter, Ramisa (Tara Sutaria) and is produced by Sajid Nadiawala under the banner of Nadiawala Grandson Entertainment.
