In India there were 21 cases of Omicron, 9 from Maharashtra, 10 from Rajasthan, 7 from Delhi .In this way the virus has spread itself across various states of India . There is a huge possibility that it has spread in other states also but the cases have not been recorded.
If the spread of virus continues in this way then it is not a good news for India. A Woman and her daughter who came from Nigeria , a brother and his two daughters in Pimpri Chinchwad and a male from Finland have tested positive from Maharashtra.
The Nine Patients from Rajasthan are from the same family and they have returned from South Africa . It looks like all the patients in india .
Omicron was first detected in South Africa on November 25 , has been described as a “variant of concern ” by the WHO . Researchers are still checking if Omicron is more lethal .
