With his new show Abolie, Sandiip commences his debut in Marathi television.
The show starring hit Marathi actors Sachit Patil and Gauri Kulkarni will premier this November. Sandiip sure has chartered a different career trajectory, after almost two decades of his work as a creative director, he set out on to helm a production house under his banner & has produced unconventional shows like Dhhai Kilo Prem, Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, a reality chat show Juzzbaat. Sandiip later moved down south & produced Gorintaku & with the massive popularity he got, he made a Hindi remake of the same show, Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali.
Sandiip has widened his horizons & has been dabbling with Hindi, Telugu, Kannada & now Marathi content creation simultaneously.Times when successful Television & Bollywood actors are crossing over to attempt regional shows & cinema, Sandiip stuck to casting Marathi actors for his Marathi show. He shares his experience of working with regional actors, "Even in Mehendi Hai Rachne Wali, I took a lot of Marathi actors.
I sincerely feel Marathi technicians and actors are far more superior than what we have in our existing industry honestly. When I deal with my actors in Abolie, I'm simply stunned with the kind of maturity they portray, the way they express their emotions with sheer conviction. I can firmly say that with the standards of acting in daily soaps we have here, the actors & directors have to really pull up their socks to match up to their acting prowess".
