Sooryavanshi, starring the superstar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif finally hit the theaters and the big budgeted Rohit Shetty’s cop universe cheered up audience during the Diwali festival this year as the cop drama went on to collect Rs 120.66 crore in first week. In its second week, the cop action drama held well on to its position and collected an excellent Rs 45.57 crore while third week was decent with Rs 18.68 crore.

1st Monday Box Office Clash – Antim Holds Well, Satyameva Jayate 2 Crashes

On 4th Friday which is the 22nd day, the Karan Johar produced film faced the much awaited John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 and Salman Khan starrer Antim. Despite the release, Sooryvanshi held well on its ground collecting Rs 71 lakhs. However, the Saturday result was outstanding with Rs 1.43 crore while Sunday was even better with Rs 2.05 crore. As per early estimates, the cop drama held well on its 4th Monday as compared to its 4th Friday with Rs 65 lakhs, bringing the overall 25 days collections to Rs 189.75-190 crore.
