After winning three awards at 2021 AMA's, now BTS becomes 2x GRAMMY-nominated artists as they are Nominated for 64th GRAMMY Awards.

Earlier today, Recording Academy made an announcement for the upcoming 64th GRAMMYs Awards show and BTS receives a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination for the 64th GRAMMY Awards. They are included with Coldplay‘s “Higher Power,” “Kiss Me More” by Doja Cat featuring SZA, “I Get a Kick Out of You” by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga, and “Lonely” by Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco.

The achievement comes with their chart-topping hit “Butter” marks the second time the septet is being considered for a GRAMMY Award, following the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination in the previous year for “Dynamite.” BTS then became the first Korean pop act to receive a nomination and perform at the awards show.

Unfortunately, this is the only one of all of BTS’s submissions to be accepted this year. ARMYs had hoped that BTS would have been nominated for “Best Music Video” with “Permission to Dance, “Album of the Year” with BE, “Best Pop Vocal Album” with BE, “Engineered Non-Classical” with BE, “Record of the Year” for “Butter.”

The 64th GRAMMY Awards will be held on 31st January, 2022 in Los Angeles, CA. BTS will return to the concert stage with ‘BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE - LA,’ set to take place at LA’s SoFi Stadium on 27th November, 28th November, 1st December, and 2nd December.

BTS also announced the nominees for “Best Alternative Music Album.” The nominees are “Shore” by Fleet Foxes, “If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power” by Halsey, “Jubilee” by Japanese Breakfast, “Collapsed in Sunbeams” by Arlo Parks, and “Daddy’s Home” by St. Vincent.
