Shahid Kapoor reveals Jersey trailer his upcoming sports drama, releasing on Dec 31 also starred Mrunal Thakur.

It’s been long since we had a sports drama to watch in theatres and now Kabir Singh aka Shahid Kapoor will be seen in Jersey, written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, a remake of his 2019 Telugu film of the same title.

“An ex-cricketer struggling to make ends meet, wants to fulfill his child's wish of getting a Jersey but in the process comes face to face with his heroic past and is forced to decide if he will rise to the occasion and become a symbol of hope or continue to live a life as a loser? A heartwarming story starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor that will make you embrace your dreams, hopes and family!!” Zee Music Company quoted the movie trailer.

Shahid Kapoor looks like a more varnished version of his last role Kabir Singh in the Jersey Trailer while Mrunal Thakur is breaking gender stereotypes while doing job and handling household at the same time.

Shahid Kapoor is shown as an ex-cricketer who left his cricket career due to some reasons and now wants his son to be a cricketer. Shahid seen gathering money for the jersey kit for his son and eventually starts finding earning opportunity and meets his coach (Pankaj Kapoor).

Pankaj Kapoor inspires him to join the cricket club and restart his incomplete inning in the field. Then the second version of Shahid and Mrunal starts relishing in the trailer where they can be seen romancing each other with some heroic on ground match scenes.

All in all, the trailer looks dashing and so much relatable to many common youngsters who live the dream to play cricket or any other sport but eventually goes for something else and secure options in their career.

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur come along for the first time and that too with Allu Aravind presenting the movie in theatres on 31^st December.
