The sequel, Bunty Aur Babli 2 which is directed by Varun V Sharma, has the lovable jodi of Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan along with Siddhant Chaturvedi, Sharvari Wagh and Pankaj Tripathi. Bunty Aur Babli 2 has the old con-couple Bunty Babli, played by Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji battle it out with the new con-couple, Siddhant Chaturvedi and big-screen debutant Sharvari, for supremacy. After the success of Sooryavanshi , Bollywood had hopes considering the talented star cast of Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan and Pankaj Tripathi along with being the sequel to a hit franchise backed by high production values. However, unlike Bunty Aur Babli, the sequel has disappointed in terms of review and box office.

Considering the above aspect and current COVID-19 situation, Bunty Aur Babli 2 received mixed reviews from the critics and audience which led the comedy drama open on a slow with 10 % occupancy in the morning shows. As the day progressed, the occupancy rate showed minimal growth and by the end of the day,  the YRF produced film could collected Rs 2.60 making it the third highest opening film of 2021 after Sooryvanshi (Rs 26.29 crore), Roohi (Rs 2.90 crore) and can cross Mumbai Saga (Rs 2.80 crore) and Bell Bottom (Rs 2.75 crore).

There was a minimal growth on Saturday with Rs 2.70 crore while Sunday was bad as well with Rs 2.90 crore, bringing the 3 days total to somewhere between Rs 8-8.20 crore which is below expectations. The comedy drama needs to remains stable until it faces John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 this Friday
