Starring Rani Mukherjee, Saif Ali Khan, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh Bunty aur Babli 2.0 take us on a ride of fun and madness, with double attack of heists all around.

Memories down the lane for Bunty aur Babli (2005) fans as the sequel reminds a lot of the original movie except Bachchan’s in the account. Though newly added to the franchise Saif Ali Khan adds his flavour to the Og Bunty’s character while freshers of the industry, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari lives the trilled life of BB.

While original BB are busy in their family forums, young struggling engineers (Siddhant & Sharvari) brings lost era of scams done by BB and starts robbing rich, corrupt and powerful people and inspector Jatayu Singh(Pankaj Tripathi) is watching all of them sitting on the top of the table with an urge to catch BB to get promotions.

The motivation of the OG BB shows consistency. They did it because they wanted to be famous, they quit it because they wanted a family. But when they realise their monopoly is threatened, and their brand is being duplicated ("copyright kara lena chahiye tha yar"), they decide not to let anyone tamper with their legacy. “Bunty aur Babli hum hain,” proclaims Vimmi, as Rakesh nods along with a bright spark in his eyes.

With the screenplay by Varun V Sharma, all the characters embrace the story in fancy avatars in the second half of the movie. Where police fall apart in the sequel and don’t play crucial role as Amitabh Bachchan’s Dashrath Singh played in the previous film. As here, police are more helpless than they show.

Apart from Rani Mukherjee, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy as music composers are constant as well in the sequel. The soundtracks in the movie suits the high rated scenes located from five stars of Abu Dhabi to locals of Fursatganj. The madness in this fun ride may lose some logics but creates the original vibes at some part.
