First time director, Suresh Triveni, chooses a niche subject to make his Bollywood debut with Tumhari Sulu and comes out with a fruitful result. The captain of the ship was none other than Vidya Balan. The supremely talented just brings life into the film with electrifying performance. She was equally supported by Manav Kaul who throws in a good surprise. Tumhari Sulu did well at the box office giving yet another “Hit” film to Vidya Balan’s career, collecting Rs 33 crore against a budget of Rs 20 crore.

Directed by Anant Mahadevan, Aksar 2 was the sequel to the hit film Aksar (2006) starring Emraan Hashmi, Udita Goswami and Dino Morea. Unlike its previous part, Aksar 2 did not had the “must watch” factor for the audience to see the film in theaters. The steamy scenes and even the music was not enough to keep them engaged. As a result, the erotic-thriller was “Disaster” at the box office, minting Rs 5.04 crore against a budget of Rs 9 crore.

2000 was a bad year for Salman Khan as most of his films earned bad reviews – Dulhan Hum Le JayengeHar Dil Jo Pyar KaregaChal Mere Bhai and Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaye. Coming to the later film, it did not even fetch good opening at the box office doubting the star power of Salman Khan and Rani Mukherjee and the movie was a “Flop” at the box office. The only saving grace was the beautiful songs composed by Himesh Reshammiya.

Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaye collected Rs 6.69 crore against a budget of Rs 8 crore.
