Sooryavanshi, starring the superstar Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif finally hit the theaters and the big budgeted Rohit Shetty’s cop universe cheered up audience during the Diwali festival this year as the cop drama went on to collect Rs 120.66 crore in first week. On the second Friday, the cop action drama held well on to its position and dropped by only 18% which is excellent with Rs 6.83 crore. On Saturday, the Karan Johar produced film went up by almost 50% to collect Rs 10.35 crore. The earnings shot up again on Sunday and minted Rs 13.39 crore bringing the 2nd weekend collections to Rs 30.57 crore and 10 days collections to Rs 151.23 crore. The earnings dropped on Monday with Rs 4.50 crore.
Sooryvanshi held very well collecting Rs 3.92 crore, summing up the total collections to Rs 159.62 crore. With this collection, Sooryavanshi has now become the 5th film highest grossing film of Akshay Kumar beating Kesari which collected Rs 153 crore in its lifetime.

On the other hand, the space drama Mission Mangal dropped on on its 12th day, collecting Rs 3.87 crore, bringing the collections to Rs 168.48 crore. The budget of Mission Mangal was Rs 40 crore.
