Beware! Bunty Babli’s to con people through home shopping ads of fake products!


Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2, which is set to release worldwide on November 19, 2021, is a rib-tickling comedy that will pit two sets of con artists, from different generations, against each other as they show their mastery over disguises to outwit each other. These two pairs of Bunty and Babli’s are set to market the film in the most innovative way possible as they try and con real people through home shopping ads of fake products!

Manan Mehta, (Senior Vice President – Marketing & Merchandising) “A film like Bunty Aur Babli 2 allows us to deploy disruptive ideas. The film features two sets of con-stars – Original Bunty Babli featuring Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji and the new Bunty Babli featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari. Both the teams are masters in the art of conning people in the film. We want to leverage this to market the movie in the most unique and engaging manner.”

He adds, “The biggest trick to conning people is by first winning their trust. And that’s exactly what we intend to do in this campaign. We have created 2 ads where the con-couples will be selling fake products with unbelievable features that are almost believable! We will be seeding these video units intelligently so as to delight our audience when they see these product ads.”

He further states, “When they discover these are fake products, they will laugh it out loud realizing them being conned by none other than The Bunty and Babli. Our endeavour with this idea is to generate disproportionate conversations around the film and we hope that audience will take the intent of these cons in the right spirit and enjoy them thoroughly.”
