The Indian Railway's first pod hotel is all set to be inaugurated at Mumbai Central railway station tomorrow. Travellers looking for a comfortable stay after the train journey can check-in in the pod hotel.
As per the report ,the pod hotel will be available for all the passengers for 12 and 24 hours at the cost of Rs 999 and Rs 1,999 respectively. Also, a private pod for 12 and 24 hours is priced at Rs 1,249 and Rs 2,499 respectively.
Providing affordable overnight accommodation, the pod hotel has a number of small bed-sized capsules. The hotel has been built on the first floor of the station building at Mumbai Central.
It has 48 capsule-like rooms, including classic pods, private pods and separate pods for women. It will also have separate beds for differently-abled people.
According to the report ,the hotel will have free Wi-Fi, washrooms, luggage and shower rooms in the common area of the hotel. The passengers also have a television, charging points and a reading light inside the pods. Reportedly, Raosaheb Danve, Minister of State for Railways, is expected to inaugurate the pod hotel.
