Priyanka Chopra extended her warmest wishes to Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai as she got married at her home in Birmingham, UK. The actress shared Malala's social media post announcing her wedding to Asser and penned a note for the women’s rights campaigner.
Malala Yousafzai surprised social media users when she announced her wedding to Asser Mallik with photos from their nikkah ceremony on Twitter. Priyanka Chopra congratulated the Nobel laureate by resharing the post on her Instagram story. The desi girl wrote, "Congratulations @malala. Wishing you so much joy and happiness. You are an absolute vision (sic)!!"
On Tuesday, November 9, Malala Yousafzai shared a couple of pictures from her nikkah ceremony and announced her wedding to Asser. She gave no other information about her husband. Social media users identified him as Asser Malik, general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s High-Performance Centre.
She wrote, "Today marks a precious day in my life. Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead (sic)."
