KBC:- Amitabh Bachchan appreciates Akshay Kumar’s chopper scene and advices him, ‘Don’t do it again’

Kaun Banega Crorepati is primarily hosted by Amitabh Bachchan and the show recently witnessed the b-town celebs from the industry such as Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Rohit Shetty for the promotions of their upcoming film Sooryavanshi.

When Amitabh Bachchan got to know about the stunts that were actually performed by Akshay Kumar without a harness he was worried for Akshay he appreciated him on the other side requested Akshay to not perform such types of stunts in future.

On the sets the audience witnessed the clip of Sooryavanshi and Describing about it Rohit Shetty said “If you watch the film you will realise. What we did was, we harnessed the bike because it would fall otherwise. His (Akshay Kumar’s) job was to hold the ramp of the chopper. The chopper will take off a bit and then we will cut the shot, harness him and then take the next shot.”

He continued further saying ,“We were shooting in Bangkok, I have no idea when he had a word with the pilot. He left the bike, held onto the ramp and the chopper took off (with Akshay hanging right there without a harness.). He is without harness in that shot. Hum sab dekhte reh gaye kya ho raha hai (we were left wondering what was happening).”

Amitabh Bachchan appreciated the efforts of Akshay Kumar and while expressing it he said “Wow!” Rohit Shetty added onto it and said “Luckily, my cameraman followed, jo aap film mein shot dekh rahe hain (what you see in the film), that is a real shot. There is no harness.”

Talking about the scene Akshay said “I would just say not to try. Bewakoofi thi kaafi (it was stupidity).” Amitabh then warned him, “Sir, do not do it again, ever. Ye bahut hi mushkil hota hai (It is very difficult).”

During the whole conversation Akshay remembered Dostana in which Amitabh Bachchan performed the pivotal role and the film released in 1980. He actually went in a flash back where he recalled how actually a harness worked.

Reflecting upon it Rohit Shetty said “I have that clip with me. We are talking about a chopper scene. I want the audience to check out what the original action was. We call it OG in today’s language. I also have a few clips where you did action sequences without a harness, with dad.”After the discussions the clip from Dostana was shown on the sets which included Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha.
