Farhan Akhtar says that it is important to see the world through a woman's eye. Farhan says more movies should be made which have woman as the main character of the film.

In Hollywood, actresses like Meryl Streep have the lead role in films many times and is still getting roles whereas in our industry we have not seen any actress getting roles at a big level at the age of 60-70s.

Farhan Akhtar thinks that this should changed woman should be given more opportunities and that there should be more films with woman as the main character and there should be more films based on showing problems of woman.

In August, on the 20th anniversary of Dil Chahta Hai (2001), Farhan Akhtar announced that he will return to the director’s chair with Jee Le Zaraa, starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.

Farhan Akhtar wants to create a female buddies film , he thinks having a film based on woman's issues will be good also for the creative field . He thinks that this balance will be healthy where both male and female perspective will be shared in the world.

Akhtar hopes to take the road-trip movie, slated for a 2023 release, on floors next year. “The plan is to get into production in the latter part of next year. I am overjoyed at the response to the announcement. It goes to show that there is space for stories about girls going out and doing their thing.”
