Son of superstar Dr. Rajkumar, Puneeth Rajkumar was working in the gym in the morning today when he suffered the heart attack. He was immediately rushed to the Vikram hospital in Bangalore where the doctors called that his condition was serious and shifted him later to the ICU where he finally passed away.

Puneeth Rajkumar started his career as a child artist in 1985 with Bettadu Hoovi and went on to win National Award for Best Child Artist. He finally made debut as an actor in 2002 with Appu. Famously called as "Powerstar, he also acted in around 29 films and shown amazing performances in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha, Yarivanu and Bettada Hoovu (1985).
