Bodyguards are a common sight around Bollywood celebrities. Especially since they are flocked by fans during most public appearances, their bodyguards are always next to them.

Amitabh Bacchan:

The salary leak of Amitabh Bachchan’s bodyguard has created quite a stir. With his bodyguard being reportedly transferred, per Firstpost, the drama seems to continue. According to a string of recent news reports, Jitendra Sinha, a head constable of Mumbai police, drew a hefty paycheck of Rs 1.5 crore on an annual basis from Amitabh Bachchan. However, he has denied all such reports, per Firstpost. The drama was mainly because Sinha is a policeman and can be deployed at one posting for a maximum of five years.

Shah Rukh Khan:

Just by looking at the crowds outside SRK’s mansion, Mannat, in Bandra on his birthday, you can tell the need for a security force for one of the biggest celebrities around the world. Per News18, for many many years, Ravi Singh has been seen shielding Shah Rukh Khan from crowds and fans hoping to get a whiff of their favourite celebrity. Singh, per the same report, draws Rs 2.7 crore. News18 also claims that he is the highest-paid bodyguard in Bollywood.

Salman Khan:

A popular name in Bollywood, Shera has been Salman Khan’s bodyguard for as long as we can remember. Also appearing alongside him in a couple of movie scenes, Shera has been like a shadow to Khan everytime he is in public. His Instagram handle, similar to Salman Khan – in promotion of the brand Being Human – is also beingshera. For his services, per TOI, Shera is paid Rs 2.5 crore/year.

Akshay Kumar:

Akshay Kumar’s bodyguard, Shreysay Thele from time to time has also been seen shielding Kumar’s son Aarav from a crowd in public spots too. The popular actor per a Midday report, pays his bodyguard Rs 1.2 crore/year.

Aamir Khan:

Aamir Khan’s bodyguard Yuvraj Ghorpade is also among the rich shielders for Bollywood celebrities. Per TOI, while speaking to a news portal he had once said, “I was doing odd jobs for survival until I decided to join Ace Security nine years ago. Today, I am the bodyguard for (the actor-producer-director) Aamir Khan and many of my friends are envious of the fact that I roam with such a big celebrity all the time.” Khan, according to TOI, pays Ghorpade Rs 2 crore annually.

Anushka Sharma & Deepika Padukone:

Anushka Sharma has a bodyguard in India by the name of Sonu. Per Outlook India, he’s like family to her and renders services for Rs 1.2 crore annually. Interestingly, Deepika Padukone’s bodyguard, Jalal, according to the same report, also draws the same amount.
