Badhaai Ho was released in 2018 which features Ayushmann Khurrana, Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, and Sanya Malhotra in the pivotal roles. It is highly appreciated by the audience and got the title of the highest-grossing films of 2018, The film also won National Film Awards. Talking about the film it's based on the concept where the parents played the role of couples in their fiftees where Ayushmann enacted the role of son who is not ready to accept the upcoming child from their parents.Gajraj Rao essayed the role of father particularly in the film.

Talking about the excitement In one of the interviews Gajraj Rao said “Amit Sharma (director) and I have known each other for more than two decades. When he narrated the script to me, I found it amazing. My first thought was, ‘Is this for real? Am I actually getting this offer?”

Further he continued saying my wife agreed me to perform in the film“When I told my wife that it was a story about a couple expecting a child in their 50’s, and that people might make fun of me, she blatantly told me that I’m no Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh and even if the film does not work, it won’t affect my image. So I decided to go ahead with it.”

I was a bit nervous and self conscious while essaying the role Gajraj Rao said “I was conscious if I could do justice with the character of Jitendra Kaushik as I was never offered such a big role.”he said it took him days to develop a feeling of confidence and perfection.

In one of the interviews Ayushmann said he is grateful that the flim covered the issues related to the Pregnancy “We wanted to show people why it’s not as big a deal that we make it out to be. We wanted people to see this issue from a more inclusive lens and tell them that it should not be seen as a taboo.”
