EXCLSUIVE INTERVIEW: Kubbra Sait Opens Up About LGBT+ Content & Her Upcoming Audio Show, Mine & Yours:
As we all know Darmiyaan will be the first ever Audio Series in India, what would you say Sriti on such different types of entertainment platform coming with the time?
I think it’s very interesting that there will be audio shows now, it’s very interesting way of consuming entertainment. Audible has done audio shows before, I’ve listened to amazing audio shows before and it’s amazing to be a part of an audio show, there is no text, this is how the story is being told and presented. Just as an audio show earlier there were radio plays so I think it’s very interesting.
And if the story is interesting, I think audience will consume it in any medium. So, the story and the characters have to be interesting.
Shabbir how would you define this team as once again it’s Sriti, once again Ekta Kapoor, how was this experience?
Once again, it’s a ball, once again I’m hoping that audience will like it. We have really enjoyed ourselves cause whenever we work together, we make sure that we are having a great time, when you have good time there is positivity and nothing can beat it.
You both have been playing a lead role on TV screen from years but this time the story is different that too you’re presenting it audially, how you cope up with that? Was it difficult or interesting?
“It was difficult in the sense that it was new but that also becomes a learning process which is privilege because we get to do something new, we get to learn something new. So, more than difficult it was interesting to just portray a character with your voice, that was very very interesting,” Sriti Said.
“See the process is more than challenging, interesting and exciting as well. You learn while doing it, you can’t improvise much, because it’s not visual medium, it’s audio medium and you need to be precise with that. The details in this audio shows plays crucial role. The small details, little voices, breathing and anything, it’s not only about dialogues. Here, audience create their own visuals for themselves, you can give them material, you can give them scene. It’s a very personal experience which is very beautiful,” Shabbir said.
