Timothée Chalamet reveals his first look as Willy Wonka from 'Wonka'

Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet has unveiled the first look of his upcoming movie, Wonka. The actor is set to take over the iconic role in the remake. He will be seen essaying the role of young Willy Wonka in the prequel to Roald Dahl's 1964 book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The actor took to his social media to share the first look of his upcoming film Wonka. Timothée is seen wearing the costume which includes a familiar top hat of the beloved chocolatier. The actor posted the picture on his Instagram with the caption, “The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last,” referencing a line spoken by Gene Wilder’s portrayal of Wonka in the original 1971 adaptation Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

Ever since the film was announced, fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of it but its going to be a long wait as the film is slated for a 2023 release.

The director behind the Paddington series, Paul King, is helming Wonka. David Heyman is producing. The film will also star Rowan Atkinson, Sally Hawkins, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key and others along with Chalamet. It has been reported that the film will have Chalamet show off his singing and dancing talents as well.
