In recently concluded matches of Vivo IPL Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav and KL Rahul played astonishing unforgettable knocks with power hitting shots, this shows the strength Indian team has in the upcoming ICC T20 Worldcup.
T20 Cricket and attacking approach has become a success mantra now. All the teams playing T20 cricket have attacking players to follow fearless approach. Just after Vivo IPL ends next week, we will be witnessing most awaited edition of ICC T20 Worldcup starting from 17 October in Dubai.
Indian national team has already been selected for the tournament which includes many young players across different franchises from IPL. For the first time team India features KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav to play the ICC T20 Worldcup, all these players were part of Vivo IPL 2021 and were the very important players of their franchises, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians.
Though both the teams are out from the playoffs this year, these three players put their 100% in their last matches to create some unforgettable innings for the team. KL Rahul scored 98 off 42 against Chennai while Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav scored 84 off 32 and 82 off 40 respectively. Those figures were actually interesting!
Though KL Rahul is the top scorer of IPL 2021 and actually the previous season as well; there were many questions in the cricket circles for his lagging strike rate which is not suitable for him as an attacking batter over the years. Rahul shut down all the discussions by playing that unbeatable knock.
On the other hand, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav had a lot to prove to spectators as season didn’t go well for both the batters and in addition, they got selected for T20 Worldcup squad. Struggling to getting runs from bat, fans, cricket circles expecting a lot being part of national squad and peer pressure of debut Worldcup experience; all these things were too hard for these young boys.
But they proved why they are selected for this format, in the last match of Mumbai Indians against Sunrisers Hyderabad Ishan Kishan who got dropped in the two matches got chance to play. Kishan with the heavy fearless approach scored 84 runs off just 32 balls with 11 fours and 4 sixes. While Suryakumar Yadav scored 82 runs off 40 balls with 13 fours and 3 sixes.
There’s no doubt that these players will create trends in the upcoming ICC T20 Worldcup with such attacking knocks to help the team to get their awaiting ICC trophy.
