FIR has been filed against the lyricist Javed Akhtar for allegedly commenting on RSS and comparing it with Taliban

FIR has been filed against the lyricist Javed Akhtar on Monday. FIR has been filed over his comments against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

The FIR has been logged in Mulund. A Mulund resident and lawyer Santosh Dubey filed a complaint as he is a supporter of RSS get offended over Akhtar's remark on RSS.

"The FIR has been registered under IPS section 500 (punishment and defamation), an official said.

" I saw a video on YouTube in September where, while speaking with NDTV, Javed Akhtar compared RSS with Taliban. I have given the transcription of his comment to the police, as well as the video. The police have taken my NC and so I have decided to approach the honorable magistrate's court next week where I will request the magistrate to order Mumbai Police to lodge an FIR against him", said the lawyer.
