The FIR has been logged in Mulund. A Mulund resident and lawyer Santosh Dubey filed a complaint as he is a supporter of RSS get offended over Akhtar's remark on RSS.
"The FIR has been registered under IPS section 500 (punishment and defamation), an official said.
" I saw a video on YouTube in September where, while speaking with NDTV, Javed Akhtar compared RSS with Taliban. I have given the transcription of his comment to the police, as well as the video. The police have taken my NC and so I have decided to approach the honorable magistrate's court next week where I will request the magistrate to order Mumbai Police to lodge an FIR against him", said the lawyer.
