After her break with partner Elon Musk, Grimes was seen taken pictures of in Los Angeles reading the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx. The Canadian singer was snapped by the paparazzi donning a brown outfit and reading the book. Needless to explain, it sent flutters across the Internet as well as netizens, as everyone was stunned about Grimes’ choice of book. However, it was just a gimmick to trick the paparazzi. Grimes has uncovered her goal behind carrying a copy of the Communist Manifesto and it is hilarious.

“Paparazzi followed me to a shoot so I tried to think what I could do that would yield the most onion-ish possible headline and it worked haha,” the 33-year-old singer tweeted. Grimes admitted that she just wanted to make the media put ‘Elon Musk’ and ‘Karl Marx’ in a headline.

Grimes also took to Instagram to post some more facts about her prank. She also said that she is still living with SpaceX CEO Elon Musk now and will come up with more such pranks if the paparazzi don’t let her be.
