The movie Thalaivii features the life of Jaylalita and the struggle and difficulties she faced in the course of time to emerge as a actress and politician in Tamil Nadu and Arvind Swami as M.G. Ramachandran role. The film puts a light on the journey of the relation between both how they evolved as an a actor.

The movie is directed by A.L. Vijay and writers are K.V. Vijayendra Prasad, Madhan Karky (Tamil), and Rajat Arora (Hindi). The supporting roles are performed by Nassar, Bhagyashree, Raj Arjun, Madhoo, Jisshu Sengupta, Thambi Ramaiah, Shamna Kasim and Samuthirakani.
On the workfront Kangana has completed the shootings of Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas where she has performed the character of Indian Air Force pilot. She has also signed in for Dhaakad. Kangana is busy with the shootings of Incarnation of Sita where she will perform the lead role.
