Bhumi Pednekar has made a big name in the Bollywood Industry in a short span of time. She has performed in various movies which is enjoyed by the audience. On her film choosing she says she wants to perform in such movies which depicts how woman in Indian society are treated and the challenges faced and how they evolved themselves in that circumstances and groomed out of it.

Talking about the journey in Bollywood Industry she made her first debut film with 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' in 2015 which got hit and after that she was viewed in films likewise namely Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', 'Son Chiriya', 'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan', 'Bala', and 'Sandh Ki Aankh' among others.

Recently the actress is busy with her upcoming two films 'Mr. Lele', 'Badhaai Do' and 'Raksha Bandhan'.

The actress said: "I have always been super confident of my film choices. I have always wanted them to be different and unique, preferably with a message and most importantly, portray women correctly."

Bhumi further added: "As a woman, I feel it is my duty to choose scripts that portray women with a lot of dignity. I'm happy that I have got the chance to play such characters due to the fantastic scripts that have come my way."

The actor expresses her gratitude towards her directors saying she was"hugely fortunate"and indeed lucky to get such directors which depicted the societal issues towards women and she too got a chance to portray a role and be a part of creating awareness towards it spreading postivity.

She said: "I'm fortunate for all the opportunities that allowed me to play such characters who stood up for themselves and society. I connected with my characters at a deeper level and maybe that's why people loved them too."

"For that, I'm indebted to my directors and producers who saw me as fit to represent such modern Indian women on screen."
