Ghanaian artist KiDi, real name Denis Nana Dawmena, published his new single ‘Touch It’ back in
June - an Afrobeats infused high-life anthem - that went on to achieve world supremacy. The #KiDiTouchItChellenge has now bagged over 121 million views, 153K personal reels and 681K views
on Triller. ‘Touch It’ is charting on Shazam globally in over 24 countries, so far peaking #2 in Costa Ricas, #7 in Columbia, #17 in India and the list goes on. Not halting there, the single debuted on the Billboard World Digital chart at 20 and is presently sitting at #8 on the UK Afrobeats Official Chart.
With the album ‘The Golden Boy’ at over 162 million sales and growing, KiDi’s gone on to win Artist Of The Year, Song Of The Year and EP Of The Year at the 3Music Awards 2021, so it’s comfortable to say he
truly is one of the exciting prospects to come out of West Africa in recent times.
