'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' continues years after the original film franchise has reserved a November 19th, 2021 release date in India. The movie that will release exclusively in theatres will release just a week after the Marvel Studios much-awaited 'Eternals' and Shahid Kapoor's Bollywood sports movie 'Jersey'.

The movie will reportedly revolve around a single mom and her two kids who reach a small town and begin to find their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret inheritance their grandfather left behind.

Jason Reitman's approaching directorial is a direct sequel to Bill Murray's iconic supernatural comedies 'Ghostbusters' and 'Ghostbusters II that came out way back in 1989. The movies starred Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis as parapsychology professors who hunts ghosts. Murray and Aykroyd, along with Sigourney Weaver, are returning to their roles for the new movie. Returning members also comprise Annie Potts and Ernie Hudson.

'Afterlife' was formerly planned to open in theatres this July but got delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Actors Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace are the new admission to the cast.
