The first full trailer for the soon to release Tom Hanks sci-fi movie Finch has been premiered by Apple TV+.
Finch — previously titled Bios — revolves around the story of a lone survivor of a worldwide apocalypse who enters a dangerous journey to locate a new home for his ambiguous family — his dog and a newly created robot.
Finch is directed by Emmy winner Miguel Sapochnik, who helmed many key episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones, involving the fan-favourite “Battle of the Bastards.” It’s written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell. Among the producing team is Robert Zemeckis, who helmed Hanks in another solo survival story, 2000’s Cast Away.
In addition to the title modification, Finch also changed distributors and premiere dates. The movie was originally going to air in theatres by Universal Pictures in October 2020. The postponed movie was then developed by Apple in August. The release follows up on Hanks featuring in Apple’s World War II drama Greyhound last year.
