Royal Challengers Bangalore is set to square off against Kolkata Knight Riders today at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. KKR is desperately looking for wins in the second leg of IPL while RCB would like to qualify as soon as possible seeing the recent forms of table topper teams.

One of the aspects RCB will look to better in the second half of the tournament will be their death bowling. In the last three matches, between overs 16-20, they have leaked 193 in 15 overs for just one wicket. The focus will be on Kyle Jamieson and Harshal Patel to tighten things at the death overs.

RCB saw many changes and replacements in their squad as Washington Sundar is out injured while Daniel Sams, Adam Zampa, Finn Allen and Kane Richardson have opted out. Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Tim David, George Garton and Akash Deep are the replacements.

Whereas Kolkata too down heartedly replaced Pat Cummins with Tim Southee. If KKR are to even entertain any hopes of qualifying for the playoffs, they need Andre Russell to muscle attacks out of his way. It would be interesting to see KKR’s playing XI, especially middle order and bowling unit as they have many spin options in their account and all of them are all-rounders.

Predicted Playing XI:

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli (c), Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Glenn Maxwell, AB de Villiers (wk), Shahbaz Ahmed/Mohammed Azharuddeen, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kyle Jamieson, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal

Kolkata Knight Riders: Shubman Gill, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Sunil Narine, Eoin Morgan (c), Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi/Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Prasidh Krishna, Varun Chakravarthy
