After being appointed RM gave a speech on behalf of the group saying, "It is a huge honor, both as an individual and a citizen, to be able to hold the title of special presidential envoy for future generations and culture. We’re always thinking about how we could give more and return the love we have received, and we’re just thankful that the president has presented us with such a big opportunity. We will do our best as special envoys."

BTS plans to give a speech at the second Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Moment event scheduled for Monday i.e on 20th September. They will also give a prerecorded performance.

The theme of the 76th General Assembly is "Building resilience through hope — to recover from Covid-19, rebuild sustainability, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people, and revitalize the United Nations."
