Maharashtra on Thursday reported 3595 new coronavirus cases and 45 fatalities,taking its infected tally to 65,11,525 and death toll to 1,38,322.

As many as 3240 patients were discharged from hospitals, taking the count of recovered cases to 63,20,310. There are 49312 active cases in the state.

Maharashtra is the second most covid affected state in india and 5 cities in it have contributed 70 percent of cases. They are mumbai ,sangli , pune, Solapur,satara.

The CM banned ganpati darshan in public, he said we have to do it because public health is the most important.

He said we can celebrate festivals later but let's prioritize lives and health of citizens first and control situation before it goes out of hand.
