Kangana Ranaut's film Thalaivii was released recently. The film is a biographical drama based on the life of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. But it was a yet another target of piracy sites.

Before Thalaivii was even out on OTT platforms it was leaked on several torrent sites in full HD quality for free download. And it has been a big blow to the makers of the movie. It also affected their earnings.

This movie was only distributed on Amazon Prime Video and Netflix yet it is currently accessible on Telegram, Tamilrockers and movierulz for free download.

Earlier, films and shows such as Shershaah, The Family Man 2, Sardar Ka Grandson, Mumbai Saga, AK vs AK, Laxmii, Ashram 2, Ludo, Chhalaang, Dark, Rasbhari, Bulbbul, Paatal Lok, Aarya, Penguin,The Raikar Case, Hundred, Extraction, Hasmuk, among others became the target of the piracy sites.

If this piracy goes on, all the hardwork the makers and actors put in such blockbusters will be a waste.

Thalaivii is directed by AL Vijay, while the music is composed by GV Prakash Kumar and is available in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The narrative of the film portrays various aspects of Jayalalithaa’s life, from her early days as an actress to her status as an icon of Tamil cinema.
