Distributors are happy as the producer sells his film at reasonable cost while exhibitors rely on the star power of Akshay Kumar since last few films have touched opening of Rs 55-60 crores in their first weekend itself, recovering major investment from the films.
Akshay Kumar scored the best phase of his career in 2019 with Kesari, Mission Mangal, Housefull 4 and Good Newwz. His last flick Good Newwz has become 13th film to cross the 100 crores milestone and 3rd film join the 200 crore club after Mission Mangal and Housefull 4. Akshay also takes time out to give back to the society. In 2020, Akshay Kumar donated a sum of Rs 1 crore for Assam flood relief while he contributed Rs 45 lakh to the Cine & TV Artistes Association (CINTAA), to support daily wage workers who’ve been hit by the pandemic.
