The Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom managed to perform decently first week at the box office despite restrictions and less number of shows, bringing Rs 19.40 crore. The action-thriller faced the Emraan Hashmi and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Chehre which was released in 800 screens and the Punjabi film, Chal Mera Putta 2, dropping in second week with Rs 7.35 crore.

This Day That Year Box Office Trivia : When Rangeela And Fiza Were Released On 8th September

Due to the release of two major Hollywood releases - the Vin Diesel starrer F9 and Marvel Studio's Shang Chi, Bell Bottom crashed on its 3rd Friday at the box office with Rs 33 lakhs. There was a slight growth on Saturday with Rs 51 lakhs with further growth on Rs 88 lakhs on 3rd Sunday. There was a drop on 4th Monday with Rs 30 lakhs. As per early estimates, Bell Bottom dropped and minted somewhere between Rs 25 lakhs- Rs 28 lakhs, bringing the 20 days collections to around Rs 29.30 crore (extended first week as Bell Bottom released on Thursday). The budget of Bell Bottom is around Rs 60 crore (Production Cost - Rs 50 , Promotion - Rs 10 crore)
