It has been almost 3 years since the last Fast & Furious film, The Fate of the Furious, which debuted in 2017. Now, the family members are back and it seems the franchise has got even more bigger and better as Universal Pictures has just released an action-packed new trailer for F9, the ninth installment in the Fast & Furious saga. F9 was supposed to kick-off the summer season last year in May 2020 but due to the pandemic situation held back its release. Black Widow Review – Golden Opportunity Gone Wasted
Thanks to the adrenaline-pumping trailer which has lots of high-octane action scenes, Justin Lin and F9 cast members makes it a must-see film all over the world which opened on Thursday with Rs 1.90 crore including all English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada versions, which is still a decent amount considering that movie is available online in HD prints. There was a slight drop on Friday as the action faced Marvel's Shang Chi and collected Rs 1.60 crore. F9 did showed slight growth on Saturday with Rs 1.80 crore followed by Rs 2.10 crore on Sunday (as per early estimates), bringing the 4 days collections to Rs 7.40-7.50 crore.

On the other hand, Marvel's next big adventure starring Asian actors, has opened very well from 900 screens which was a big surprise, considering it does not feature well-known stars plus the super-hero character is not popular unlike other Marvel's character. The advance booking for Shang Chi was better than other Hollywood COVID-19 releases like Tenet, Wonder Woman 1984, Godzilla Vs Kong and even better than the recent released Bollywood flick - the Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom.
With glowing reviews, Shang Chi opened on a good note with Rs 2.97 crore. The collection remained stable with Rs 3.33 crore on Saturday. As per early estimates, there was a slight growth on Sunday with Rs 4.10 crore, bringing the first weekend collections to somewhere around 10.10-10.20 crore.
