Black Widow Review – Golden Opportunity Gone Wasted
Sequel to the 2007’s blockbuster Welcome, Welcome Back was bigger in terms of budget, production values and star cast. The multi-starrer released in 2015, was directed by Anees Bazmee and received poor reviews as compared to the first part. However, since it was a popular franchise, the comedy drama turned out to be “Semi-Hit” at the box office, collecting Rs 96.55 crore against a budget of Rs 90 crore.

Released in 1998, Maharaja was directed by Anil Sharma and starred Govinda and Manisha Koirala in key roles. The super natural drama was high on production values and budget and received poor reviews from both critics and audience. In spite of having popular actors, Maharaja never took off at the ticket window while poor performances and terrible screenplay made a dent to the producer’s pocket and was declared a “Flop” at the box office, collecting Rs 6.35 crore against a budget of Rs 8 crore.
