A remake of Hollywood cult classic, The Silence Of The Lambs, Sangharsh was the perfect cat-and-mouse game crime thriller with top notch performances by Akshay Kumar, Preity Zinta and Ashutosh Rana. Praised by critics, Sangharsh, released in 1999, surprisingly struggled to make an impact at the box office and turned out to be “Below Average” at the box office.

Bell Bottom 2nd Week Box Office – Akshay Kumar Starrer Performs Well Despite Restrictions
Directed by Vinay Shukla, Godmother was an art movie which was never expected to perform at the box office. Based on the life of Santokben Jadeja, Godmother was high on performances and screenplay and even won National Awards for Best Feature Film , Best Actress, Best Music Direction, Best Editing, Best Male Playback Singer and Best Lyricist.
Rakt (2004)
Released in 2004, Rakht was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and was horror mystery. Inspite of having popular actors, Rakht never took off at the ticket window while poor performances and terrible screenplay made a dent to the producer’s pocket and was declared a “Disaster” at the box office.
