Morning Show Box Office Report - F9 Opens On Decent Note, Shang Chi Is Excellent

Today, we will be witnessing two big Hollywood films - Vin Diesel action flick F9 and Marvel's big release, Shang Chi. Let us see how the films have fared in the morning shows across India.

F9 was supposed to kick-off the summer season last year in May 2020 but due to the pandemic situation held back its release. Now, the makers have released the super bowl teaser of the blockbuster franchise which comprises of Diesel, Rodriguez, Kang, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren and John Cena. Thanks to the adrenaline-pumping trailer which has lots of high-octane action scenes, Justin Lin and F9 cast members makes it a must-see film all over the world which opened today with Rs 1.75 crore.

On the other hand, Marvel's next big adventure starring Asian actors, has opened very well from 900 screens. The advance booking for Shang Chi has been better than other Hollywood releases like Tenet, Wonder Woman 1984, Godzilla Vs Kong and even better than Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom.

With glowing reviews, Shang Chi is expected to touch some where between Rs 2-2.5 crore across the morning shows in India, bring some hope for the box office.
