Aashiq Banaya Aapne was released when Emraan Hashmi was at the peak of his career. His movies were doing good at the box office and thanks to his collaboration with Himesh Reshmaiya, he had a dedicated fan following. Unfortunately, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, released in September 2005 had chart bursting songs but with poor screenplay and bad acting. The movie turned out to be decent performer at the box office, collecting Rs 6.37 crore against a budget of Rs 4.50 crore.

A remake of Hollywood hit film, Stepmom, We Are Family was directed by Siddharth Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar. We Are Family received much fan fare in 2010 before the movie was released thanks to the star cast, big budget, high production values and Dharma Productions’s tag name. Though the film received good reviews for performances by the star cast, the family drama opened to average response across the country and sank at the box office, collecting Rs 21.77 crore against a budget of Rs 30 crore.

Shershaah Is Now The Most Watched Amazon Prime’s Film

Akira, released in 2016, was directed by A.R.Murugadoss who delivered blockbusters like Ghajni and Holiday. The trailer of Akira looked good with some cool fighting scenes by Sonakshi Sinha and Anurag Kashyap playing the role of a corrupted cop. The women-centric opened to good response but was an average performer with Rs 26.12 crore against a budget of Rs 30 crore.
