On an another bad outing in the first inning Indian team made a small but effective comeback in the last session of the day 1 of fourth test match between India and England.

Earlier on the toss both the teams made two changes in their playing XI; Ollie Pope in place of Buttler while Woakes as a fourth pacer on the other hand India added two pacers, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav departing Ishant Sharma and Shami. India lost the toss and invited to bat first by the hosts England while Joe Root and co. justified the decision in first session only.

After getting all-out India continued the momentum and took 3 wickets in the last half hour. England's top order who became their victory makers in the previous match collapsed against Bumrah and Yadav. Bumrah took both the openers while Yadav broke Joe Root into pieces, bowled him on 21 runs.
