Here Is The Reason Why Royal Family Members Are Still ‘Worried’ About Reconciling With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still aren’t on the best of times with other members of the British royal family and it seems it will take some time to get things back to the way they used to be.

Relatives across the pond are “still raw” in the wake of the Sussexes’ relinquishing from their senior duties and following visions about life in the palace, royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti let out on August 31.

“Over the year, there must’ve been some discussions, some sort of attempt at reconciliation,” the British journalist said. “But I keep saying that, you know … I’m not a party to their private conversations, but I think it must be incredibly difficult to try and have those conversations because must always be a bit worried about what Megan and Harry are going to reveal to the press or … in a new revised version of or even in Prince Harry’s book.”

As per Sacerdoti, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Prince William and more might be cautious to go ahead with the healing process.

“I think that there’s perhaps a nervousness on the part of the royal family to say too much and to make too great in efforts to reconcile, even though I’m sure that they’d want to, if only for PR purposes, never mind for family peace,” he said.

Harry and the retired actress declared in January 2020 that they would be exiting from their senior parts within the royal family. Two months later, they shifted to California with their son Archie, now 2. At the time, a source explained that William was “blindsided” by his younger brother’s action.

Earlier this year, nonetheless, the Invictus Games creator declared during his and Meghan’s CBS tell-all that he provided his 95-year-old grandmother with a heads up about the opinion to exit. Following the bombshell interview in March, a second source remarked that Harry’s father, 72, and the queen were not hand in hand for the family’s next steps.

“Charles and the queen had very different plans for how to respond,” the insider explained. “Charles wanted to rebuke every claim made by Meghan and Harry and the queen wanted to take a more modest approach.”

As the couple’s disclosures raised eyebrows — comprising their statement that a family member brought up “concerns” about Archie’s skin tone — Buckingham Palace stated in a statement, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.”

The response proceeded, “While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members.”

Harry and the Suits alum are also blessed with daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana in June. Two months later, a new quote from 2020’s Finding Freedom disclosed that the couple came close to recognizing the relative who allegedly noted on their son’s skin.

On Tuesday, Omid Scobie, one of the writers of Finding Freedom, gave more details into how Harry and Meghan’s connection with the royals has evolved in the past year.

“When we speak to sources close to the couple and also sources close to the royal family, there is this feeling that very little progress is being made,” he to continued. “However, some feelings have subsided because time has done its things, so the door is very much open for those conversations to happen at some point. … Everyone feels that some accountability and ownership in each other’s roles in all of this has to be taken for people to move forward. Whether that happens, we shall see.”
