Farmers in Punjab are seen chanting and protesting in front of Phul Cinema, Punjab. The farmers were heard saying, "Akshay Kumar Di Film Dekhne walon sharam karo. (Those who are going to watch Akshay Kumar's film in the theatres, please have some shame.)" They were asking to Boycott Bellbottom. The farmers threatened the theatre to stop the screening of the film.
It is reported to be in reaction to Akshay Kumar's statement last year calling their protest propaganda.
