After the resounding successes of movies such as Manmadhan, Kuththu and Vallavan, Silambarasan begins shooting for STR 47 - 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu' amid the soaring anticipation for the film. The multitalented superstar will be stationed in Chennai for ten days for the first schedule of the upcoming movie produced by Vels Film International. STR 47 revives the cinematic trio of Simbu, film director Gautham Menon & Oscar-winner A. R. Rahman. Not long ago, the banner unveiled the first look of film that set the internet on fire. The star has evidently lost lots of weight and undergone an extraordinary makeover for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and he will be seen essaying a role, starkly different from the repertoire of characters played by him in the past.
The upcoming Tamil film will be dubbed in various other languages and it will witness the magic of filmmaker Gautham Menon, maestro A. R. Rahman and Simbu after their blockbusters such as Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu marks the third collaboration of the actor, music director and film director trio. Premised on a gritty subject, STR 47 is an absolutely raw, realistic and hard-hitting action drama.
