Goa International Airport has set up rapid PCR facility for the Goan people travelling to UAE. According to the airport, the test will cost INR 4000. The facility has set up at the Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) in response to the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority’s Directive.

This acts brings a huge relief for Goan expacts. Dubai Authority informed the airlines and private operators that the COVID PCR test has to be taken by the department in airport within the six hours before the flight.


"Goa Airport director Gagan Malik said, “The rapid PCR facility has started today morning at Goa International Airport in MLCP to meet the present requirements of UAE departures. This shall facilitate departure from Goa to UAE," said by- Goa Airport director Gagan Malik.

This rule is applicable to passenger travelling from India to UAE. And also the other nations like Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda.
Meanwhile, the Goa government has extended the lockdown till 30 August 2021. Just the few day earlier, Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had extended the curfew by eight days till August 23 but on Sunday, it announced that lockdown has extended by a week, after viewing the situation of the COVID in the country.

But as of now, people who want to travel to Goa will have to carry their COVID-19 negative test report and not older than 72 hours. And those people who are fully vaccinated would have to get enter in the state at least 14 days before, and do not need to carry the PCR report. But the people who are coming from Kerala, RT-PCR test is mandatory.
