There were two significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta and Bipasha Basu starrer No Entry and Shreya Talpade starrer Iqbal. Let us check how these films fared at the box office.
No Entry (2005)
Directed by Aneez Bazmee, No Entry started on a slow note at the box office inspite of having Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Lara Dutta, Bipasha Basu and Esha Deol. Thanks to the rib-tickling comedy that brought the entire house, word of mouth reviews turned out to be fruitful for the makers of the film.
No Entry collected a solid Rs 45 crore (approximately) against a budget of Rs 24 crore and turned out to be “Suoer-Hit” at the box office.
Bell Bottom 1st Wednesday Box Office Early Estimate- Akshay Kumar Starrer Continues To March With Steady Flow
Nagesh Kukunoor has come a long way from his early days of Hyderabad Blues, RockFord and 3 Deewarein, Iqbal was a feel-good cinema that gives a strong message that anything is possible in life if you have a positive attitude. The screenplay, also written by Kukunoor, is superb keeping on your toes with comic scenes between Shreyas Talpade, Naseeruddin Shah and Shweta Prasad that will keep you engaged.
Produced by Subhash Ghai, Iqbal was a decent grosser at the box office, collecting Rs 3.85 crore against a budget of Rs 2.25 crore.
