In the viral video, the officer stopped Salman who was walking towards the airport terminal to enter it, and gestured for him to first get clearance from the security checkpoint.Days later, media reports claimed that the officer was in trouble for his actions and that his phone was seized after he spoke to the media about the 'viral video', which was a breach of protocol.

A report quoted another CISF officer who claimed that the officer's phone had been confiscated to ensure that he does not speak to the media about the incident.
