On 23rd August, Jang Ki Yong’s agency YG Entertainment shared, “Please cheer on Jang Ki Yong, who will return in good health after diligently completing his military duty.”
Following his enlistment, Jang Ki Yong uploaded a handwritten letter on Instagram along with a black-and-white photo of himself with his new short haircut.
In the letter he wrote:
“Hello. This is Jang Ki Yong.
I was able to spend my 20s happily thanks to the people who have loved and supported me until now.
I sincerely thank you.
I’ll return strong and healthy for another amazing [time in my] 30s.
Thank you everyone, and I love you.”
Also, his co-star from My Roommate Is a Gumiho, Kim Do Wan posted a selfie of the two together and wrote, “Take good care of your health. I’ll miss you.”
Choi Hee Seo uploaded a photo with Jang Ki Yong and the “Now, We Are Breaking Up” cast members Song Hye Kyo, Kim Joo Heon, Park Hyo Joo, and Yoon Na Moo with the caption, “Ki Yong, we love you!”
Jang Ki Yong upcoming drama “Now, We Are Breaking Up,” is slated to premiere in November.
