Raksha Bandhan is also called as Rakshabandhan it is a popular traditional festival in the Hindu culture. On this day the sisters make a beautiful rakhi and tie around the wrist of their brothers, and receiving a gift in return. This a festival to celebrate the bond, love and protection. It is celebrated between sisters and brothers. Sisters keep a fast for their brothers and make their favourite dish and sweet on this day.

Raksha Bandhan is observed on the last day of the Hindu lunar calendar month of Shraavan. The Raksha Bandhan, Sanskrit, is “the bond of protection, obligation and care.”
