IND vs ENG, Joe Root Won the Toss Decided to Bowl First; Ishant Sharma Comes in check the playing XI here:

England team make three changes in their playing XI as per last match, Joe Root on the toss said, "Going to bowl. Obviously a tinge of green but it's more the overhead conditions. Got three changes: Hameed for Crawley, Wood for Broad, Ali for Lawrence. Do think it will spin at some point, it generally does here."

While Virat Kohli confirms Ishant Sharma's appearance in the playing XI, on the toss skipper said, "We would've bowled first as well. But not too bad batting first as well, good opportunity to put a score. Ishant replaces Shardul, that's the only change."

Conditions: After the opening game of the series was marred by wet weather, the forecast at the moment is thankfully much better for this game although there is still a chance of some rain on Sunday. The Lord's pitch for the Test against New Zealand in June was on the slow side but still offered a good balance between bat and ball and that is likely to be the case again, particularly if some grass is left on, as it was earlier in the summer.

Playing XI
India:
Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli(c), Ajinkya Rahane, Rishabh Pant(w), Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj

England: Rory Burns, Dominic Sibley, Haseeb Hameed, Joe Root(c), Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler(w), Moeen Ali, Sam Curran, Ollie Robinson, Mark Wood, James Anderson
